Nice Vintage Skowhegan 6 Person Wood Croquet Set w/ Wood Balls & Caddy Stand

Side of caddy is marked Skowhegan, ME and has the name "Thompson."  This set is early, and all wood.  It has been played, as can be seen.  The mallet heads have chipping and wear.  One mallet has tape on the handle to stop a crack from spreading.  All in all, this set is a true survivor and definitely earlier than any I can find on eBay history.  The balls are a hardwood, probably oak.  The paint is original and shows the perfect wear for displaying an early piece of gaming history!  The stand/caddy is included and organizes all the parts.  Some wickets came with it, but they are two different sizes so I'm sure some were added over the years.  This is a true barn find and a rare set to try to find again!  Check shipping before bidding.  The box is big, heavy, and leaving NJ.
